Game 17 | Home Game 11 | AHL Game 212

TONIGHT: At the mid-point of a season-high 8-game homestand, the Barons look to return to .500 for the season at the Cox Convention Center as they meet the Chicago Wolves (Atlanta Thrashers). The Barons' 6-3 loss to San Antonio on Tuesday dropped them to 4-5-1-0 at home and 2-2-0-0 during this homestand, a stretch that keeps the Barons in Oklahoma City for 24 consecutive days in November. OKC and Chicago have split the first two matchups of an 8-game season series, with each team's win coming on the road last month.

STRIKING EARLY: J.F. Jacques scored the first goal of his conditioning assignment 17 seconds into the game on Tuesday vs. San Antonio. Jacques is returning from back surgery in March. The early goal established a franchise mark for the quickest goal from the start of a game or period. The Rampage tied the score 4:06 into the opening period. OKC has allowed a goal within the first 5:35 of the first period in 6 straight games, but has won 4 of those. In the past 2 games, the Barons have allowed goals 9 seconds into the second period on Sunday and 45 seconds into the third on Tuesday.

LINUS THE LEGEND: In Sunday's 7-6 shootout win over Toronto, Linus Omark produced the AHL's first 5-goal game since Jiri Tlusty, then of the Toronto Marlies, scored 5 against Syracuse on Feb. 18, 2009. Omark also scored one of OKC's 3 goals in the 8-round shootout. His final goal during a career-high performance came on a 2-man advantage at 19:13 of the third period to tie the game, which the Barons trailed 4-1 early in the second period. His 5-goal game and 6 goals last week (he also scored the eventual game-winner on Friday vs. Texas) earned him the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week award.

PENALTY KILL DIPS TO NO. 2: San Antonio scored 2 power play goals in 8 chances on Tuesday, becoming the first team since Houston on opening night Oct. 9 to score more than 1 power play goal in a game against OKC. The Barons had allowed zero or one power play goal in 14 straight prior to Tuesday. For the season, the Barons have allowed 8 power play goals in 84 times short, a 90.5 percent success rate, second in the league behind Worcester's 91.2.

LEADERS: Martin Gerber is tied for the AHL lead in wins (8), while second in minutes (738). Gerber has won 6 straight starts. Shawn Belle leads AHL defensemen in points (14) and assists (13). Linus Omark is tied for fourth in points (18) and tied for second in goals (10).

ODDS AND ENDS: The Barons lead the league in power play opportunities with 97 and are tied with Charlotte for most times shorthanded at 84...OKC is tied for the second-most games played with 16, behind Charlotte's 17...Linus Omark has points in 11 of the last 13 games, totaling all 18 of his points in that span...Liam Reddox has points in 10 of 13 (14 points)...Alex Giroux has gone 6 games without a goal since scoring twice in the first period at Chicago Oct. 27...in those 6 games Giroux has 4 assists...Ryan O'Marra earned 4 assists on Sunday and shares the league high in a single game with Shawn Belle, Norfolk's Marc-Antoine Pouliot and Providence's Zach Hamill.
