Coyotes Recall Boedker And Hoggan From San Antonio

GLENDALE, ARIZONA --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forwards Mikkel Boedker and Jeff Hoggan from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, center Joel Perrault has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Boedker, 20, has appeared in 12 games for the Coyotes this season, recording 1-2-3. He has also registered 5-12-17 in 36 games with San Antonio, including four points in his last two games. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound forward recorded 11-17-28 and 18 penalty minutes (PIM) in 78 games with Phoenix during the 2008-09 season. As a rookie, Boedker ranked 9th on the team overall in scoring while leading all Coyotes rookies in goals, assists, points, games played, shots (116) and average time on ice (15:32) and ranked T-2nd among all NHL rookies in game-winning goals (3). Boedker has appeared in 90 career NHL games, recording 12-19-31 and 18 PIM. He was Phoenix's first choice (1st round, 8th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Hoggan, 32, has appeared in four games with the Coyotes this season. He has also recorded 8-14-22 and 27 PIM in 43 games with San Antonio. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 193-pound Hoggan appeared in four games with the Coyotes and registered an assist. He also collected 22-13-35 and 64 PIM in 60 games with the Rampage and led the team in goals. In 107 career NHL games with St. Louis, Boston and the Coyotes, Hoggan has collected 2-9-11 and 76 PIM. A native of Hope, British Columbia, Hoggan signed as a free agent with the Coyotes on July 15, 2008.

Perrault, 26, made his season debut with the Coyotes on Feb. 8 versus Edmonton. He has recorded 11-12-23 and 24 PIM in 27 games for San Antonio this season. Perrault, who has recorded 11-14-25 and 68 PIM in 88 career NHL games with Phoenix and St. Louis, was originally drafted by Anaheim in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.

The Coyotes return to action tomorrow at 6 p.m. (Arizona time) when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild. The game can be heard live on XTRA Sports 910 and will also air on tape delay on FOX Sports Arizona at 10:30.
