Moose Release Rankin From PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released forward Evan Rankin from his professional tryout contract.

Rankin, 23, played in four games with the Moose since signing his PTO on Jan. 23/10 where he scored one goal. He started the season in 41 games with the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. In that time, the Portage, MI native recorded 34 points (20g & 14a) along with 10 penalty minutes.

Previously, he spent four seasons in the NCAA with Notre Dame. In his college career, Rankin played a total of 143 games where he scored 41 points (20g & 21a) with 101 penalty minutes.
