Moose Re-Assign Taylor Ellington To Salmon Kings

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have re-assigned defenceman Taylor Ellington to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL.

Ellington, 21, has appeared in 13 games with the Moose so far this season. In that span, he has collected one assist and seven penalty minutes. The Victoria, BC native has also played in 27 games with the Salmon Kings this season where he has recorded 11 points (2g & 9a) and 20 penalty minutes.

Last season, the left-handed defenceman appeared in one game with the Moose were he scored a goal. In his junior career, the rookie defenseman played five seasons with the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League where he appeared in a career total 287 games for 66 points (14g & 52a) and 371 penalty minutes.

Ellington was originally drafted by Vancouver in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
