Game Preview
Division rivals will square off this evening as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight is the 15th and final regular season encounter between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 6-7-1-0 against the Komets.
For the second straight game Kalamazoo enters the night looking to sew up a playoff spot. Currently in third place with 74 points, the K-Wings can clinch a postseason berth with a victory or a regulation loss by either the Cincinnati Cyclones or the Wheeling Nailers.
Already punching their playoff ticket a few weeks back, Fort Wayne comes to town with an outside chance to win the North Division. With 100 points, the Komets trail the Toledo Walleye by three points for first place. If the playoffs were to start tonight, the Komets first round opponent would be the K-Wings.

A Night of Milestones
Tonight defenseman Sam Ftorek will surpass Brad Berry (1991-99) and Derrick Smith (1991-98) for third place in team history for all-time games (405) played. Ftorek is also one assist shy of reaching 200 in his K-Wings career.
Extra Time
On Wednesday the K-Wings lost 4-3 in overtime to the Indy Fuel. On the season Kalamazoo is 5-2 in games that have ended in overtime.
Magic Number
The K-Wings are closing in on a playoff berth. Kalamazoo can clinch a playoff berth with a win, a Cincinnati Cyclones loss in regulation or if the Wheeling Nailers loses in regulation.
