Conner Hale Named Midwest League Player of the Week

Today the Midwest League Office announced that LumberKings infielder Conner Hale was named the Midwest League's Player of the Week for the week of June 27th to July 3rd. Hale is the second LumberKing this season to win a Midwest League honor, with Zack Littell winning Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 6th to June 12th.

Over the week, Hale combined to go 12-23, good for a .522 batting average. He blasted a two run home run on June 28th at Wisconsin, and then added a solo homer on July 1st at Peoria. On that June 28th game, Hale went 4 for 5 with three RBI, marking the second time this season he has had at least four hits in a game. During the four game series in Wisconsin, Hale went 10 for 16 with four RBI. In the July 1st game at Peoria, Hale went 2 for 4 with three RBI. He is currently the team leader in batting average at .292 and is tied for the team lead with six home runs. Hale is also second on the team with 32 RBI.
