THE MATCHUP:
The Condors and Steelheads close the regular season tonight, in a game with no playoff implications for either club. Both have been guaranteed to win their respective divisions, while Idaho has sewn up the top seed in the ECHL throughout the playoffs. The Condors have gone 2-4-0 against Idaho this season, beating former Condors G Rejean Beauchemin in both of their wins. Rookie F Jean-Marc Beaudoin netted the game-winning goal in last night's 2-1 victory, 6:45 into the third period, snapping a 1-1 tie with his second professional goal. F Andrew Ianiero will snap the Condors record of consecutive games played at 215 when he sits tonight.
THE KELLY CUP PLAYOFFS:
With the division title, the Condors are guaranteed the no. 2 seed in the National Conference for the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Below are the scenarios to determine their first round opponent:
- If Victoria beats Utah in regulation, the Condors will face Utah
- If Utah beats Victoria (regulation or OT), the Condors will face Victoria
- If Victoria beats Utah in OT and Stockton gets at least a point against Alaska, the Condors face Utah
- If Victoria beats Utah in OT and Stockton loses in regulation against Alaska, the Condors face Stockton
