Stingrays Finish Regular Season with 3-0 Win over Gladiators

Duluth, GA - Stingrays forward Trent Campbell pushed his point streak to seven games (4g, 6a) and goaltender Beau Erickson stopped all 10 Gladiators shots as the South Carolina Stingrays (41-19-6-6) defeated the Gwinnett Gladiators (31-33-5-3) 3-0 in front of 5,995 at The Arena at Gwinnett Center Saturday night.

The Stingrays broke open the scoring at 16:54 of the first period when Gregg Johnson found the twine for his 21 goal of the season. Forward Michael Dubuc earned the lone assist. Stingrays defenseman Derek Keller scored his first professional goal 11 seconds later from forward Spencer Carbery at 17:05.

Stingrays defenseman Dylan Yeo iced the game at 10:34 of the second period from forwards Matt Scherer and Campbell beating Gladiators goaltender David Brown under the left arm. Brown finished the night stopping 32 of 35 Stingrays chances. The Stingrays had the only power play of the game going 0-for-1.
