
Checkers announce playoff schedule

Charlotte Checkers News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Checkers have clinched the top seed in the American Conference and will face the Toledo Walleye in the first round of the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
The Checkers will play their first home playoff contest, game 3 of the American Conference quarterfinals, on Friday, April 9 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.
Games 1 and 2 will take place in Toledo on Tuesday and Wednesday, while games 4 and 5, if needed, will take place next Sunday and Monday in Charlotte.
Tickets will go on sale early this upcoming week and details will be announced as they become available.
American Conference Quarterfinals (best-of-five series)
Game 1 - Tuesday, April 6 - Charlotte at Toledo, time TBD
Game 2 - Wednesday, April 7 - Charlotte at Toledo, time TBD
Game 3 - Friday, April 9 - Toledo at Charlotte, 7 p.m.
Game 4 (if necessary) - Sunday, April 11 - Toledo at Charlotte, 2 p.m.
Game 5 (if necessary) - Monday, April 12 - Toledo at Charlotte, 7 p.m.
Charlotte (43-21-8) will face Toledo in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning home for game 3 on Friday. Season tickets for the inaugural 2010-11 AHL season are now on sale and 40-game packages start as low as $200.
