DID YOU KNOW?
Heading into the final day of the regular season, the 3rd-seeded Jackals and the 6th-seeded Florida Everblades are the only two teams in the American Conference to have clinched their playoff seeds. Although all eight playoff spots have been sealed, the remaining six seeds are open.
HOCKEY HISTORY COMPLETE
According to the Hockey Hall of Fame, no two brothers had each scored 100 points in the season while playing on the same team at any level of professional hockey until last night. Justin Donati scored his 100th point on a second-period assist, joining twin brother Tyler in the scoring century mark.
NEXT STOP: FLORIDA
The Jackals have locked up the American Conference's third seed and will play the Florida Everblades in the first round best-of-five series. This season, the Jackals were 2-0 against the Everblades, with victories on Jan. 8 and 9 at First Arena.
The series begins with games 1 and 2 in Florida and then heads back to the Twin Tiers for games 3, 4, and 5. Elmira has never played in Florida, with the first three meetings having taken place at First Arena.
