Devergilio Recalled To AHL

Boise, ID- The Idaho Steelheads and head coach Derek Laxdal announced today that rookie center Kevin DeVergilio has been recalled to the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. In 48 games with Idaho this season, DeVergilio has 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points.

DeVergilio, who is on a contract with the Texas Stars, Idaho's AHL affiliate, has appeared in nine games this season at the AHL level, which is the highest level of minor league hockey in North America. The Sterling Heights, Michigan native has registered one assist and 12 penalty minutes for the Texas Stars this season.

The Steelheads open up the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs on April 16 and 17 at Qwest Arena.
