
Everblades Sign Lampe, Duffy Recalled

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that they have signed forward Eric Lampe to a contract and defenseman Matt Duffy has been recalled to AHL affiliate Rochester.
Lampe, 24, just finished off a successful four-year career at Quinnipiac University. He appeared in 150 games with the Bobcats and scored 47 goals and 45 assists for 92 points with 271 penalty minutes. He steadily improved his scoring output during each year of his career. The Madison Wisconson finished this season posted 13 goals and 24 assists (career best) for 37 points. Lampe will wear sweater #22 for the Everblades.
Duffy, 24, returns to the Amerks for the fourth time this season. The Windham Maine native has appeared in nine games with Rochester this season and scored a goal and four points. The majority of his rookie season has been with the Everblades. Duffy has appeared in 52 games with the 'Blades and scored five goals and 14 points with 55 penalty minutes.
Florida closes the regular season tonight against the Charlotte Checkers. It's Fan Appreciation Night in Germain Arena with prizes and gifts to be given away throughout the game. Currently, Charlotte has a one-point advantage over South Carolina for the South Division title and has a chance to be the #1 seed in the American Conference.
The Florida Everblades and Elmira Jackals will play in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The American Conference quarterfinals will be a best-of-five series with the higher seed given the option to begin the playoffs at home or on the road. The Everblades (6th seed) will host the first two games on April 6 & 7 at Germain Arena and then travel to Elmira (3rd seed) for games 3, 4 & 5 (if necessary) on Friday, April 8 and Saturday and Sunday, April 9 &10.
