Condors Player Will Be Celebrity Reader at Local School Friday

This Week:

Friday, January 19th: A Condors player and Community Relations Manager Jill Watts will be Celebrity Readers at Christa McAuliffe Elementary at 1:45 p.m. Books focusing on team work will be read to students, followed by a question and answer session between the students and readers. For more information on how to get a Condors player to your school contact the Condors Community Relations department at 324-PUCK (7825).

Week In Review:

Tuesday. January 9th: President Mathew Riley and Condors player Rane Carnegie attended the Board of Zoning Adjustment meeting at Bakersfield City Hall to discuss the proposed addition of a roller hockey rink in central Bakersfield. It has now been declared that the outdoor roller hockey rink was approved and will be built at Saunder's Park.

Sunday, January 14th: The Condors took on the Fresno Falcons and finished with a 4-3 victory, and afterwards, the 6,194 fans in attendance had a chance to Skate with the Condors. All fans were able to hit the ice directly after the game to mingle with their favorite players. The next skate with the team will be held on February 9, for season ticket holders only.

Wednesday, January 24th: The Condors will battle the Fresno Falcons as CW Bakersfield and The Big 96.5 KBKO present the second High School/College I.D. Night of the season. All high school and college students with a valid I.D. will receive $1.00 admission. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Friday, January 26th: KGET-TV 17 and the University of Phoenix present Zooperstars Live as the Condors face off against the Victoria Salmon Kings for the first time in two game set. Don't miss your chance to see 10-foot tall characters like Peyton Manatee, LeBronco James and Snail Earnhardt Jr. Doors open at 6 p.m. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Saturday, January 27th: It's Super Bowl Jersey Raffle and Auction, thanks to FOX 58 and Bud Light, as the Condors and the Salmon Kings play the finale of their series for a special noon start time. Five lucky fans will win one of the game-worn jerseys, recognizing Super Bowl XLI, and the rest will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds benefiting the Petroleum Shrine Club. This day also marks the fourth Kids Club game, where all Kids Club members receive free entry by presenting their I.D. badge at the box office window. Students enrolled in the Condors T.H.I.N.K. (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) program will receive free admission by excelling in academics and behavior. Doors open at 11 a.m. Puck drops at noon.

Just for Kids:

Baby Cal and Colonel Claw'd are looking for kids to join the coolest club in Condorstown for only $20. Membership includes a Kid's Club T-shirt, free admission to three games, membership card, entry into the Kids Club party with Condors players and exclusive gifts provided by the Bakersfield Californian, Bright House Networks and Wells Fargo Bank.

It's Party Time! Condors Kids Club members not only get to have the most exclusive prizes and access to the Kids Zone all season long, but they get to party down with Condors players for a members only Kids Club Party!
