Week In Review

Tuesday, Jan. 9

Augusta 7 vs. Texas 4

Augusta matched its season high for goals in a game, scoring seven goals for the second straight contest. Ryan Lang notched four assists to lead the offense, while seven different players scored in the game. Nathan Marsters stopped 28 shots for the win.

Friday, Jan. 12

Augusta 4 @ Texas 3 (SO)

Aaron Slattengren and Eric Lundberg staked the Lynx to a 2-0 lead before Texas responded with three straight goals for a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes of play. In the third period Louis Goulet's power play goal tied the game and sent it to a shootout, where Ryan Lang recorded the lone marker and Dave McKee stopped all five Wildcatters shooters to pick up the win.

Saturday, Jan. 13

Augusta 8 vs. Pensacola 3

Aaron Slattengren and Brian Passmore each scored twice to lead Augusta's offensive onslaught against the Ice Pilots in a lopsided win. Marc Norrington recorded his first goal with the Lynx in the win as well. Dave McKee earned his fifth straight win with 20 saves on 23 shots.

Lynx Radio Hour Returns!

The show returns tonight after a holiday hiatus! Broadcast live at Indigo Joe's, 3730 Wheeler Rd. in Augusta from 7-8 pm, this week's show is certain to be packed with information and insight from the past three weeks of Lynx hockey. Don't forget you receive a free non-alcoholic beverage with your Black and Blue Burger! Come bring the family out to Indigo Joe's.

Upcoming Promotions

When the Lynx return to home ice February 1, 2, and 3, they have a host of promotions lined up! Thursday, February 1 will see Florida in town on Augusta's Biggest Re-Gift Party Ever! You have that tacky gift, wacky appliance, or just plain hideous sweater still in your closet? Bring it to the game and trade it for another person's unwanted treasure, and everyone goes home happy. It's also Metro Spirit Thirsty Thursday night, so we make no claims on impaired re-gift judgement.

Friday Alaska comes to town to take on the Lynx on Smokey Bear Night, with the first 1,850 fans receiving a free souvenir puck! It's also faith and family night, so get your church group together for the evening and come join us! Finally, Saturday night sees Florida return on Doctors Hospital night as the Lynx welcome groups from CSRA large manufacturers! Get your tickets now as the Lynx heat up heading to the playoffs!

Player and Goaltender of the Week Nomination

Dave McKee and Aaron Slattengren are Augusta's nominations for Player and Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 14, 2007. The ECHL will announce the winners later this week.

All-Star Reminder

Ryan Lang will compete in the breakaway relay competition and fastest skater competition in the RBK Hockey All-Star Skills Competition tomorrow night at the Qwest Center in Boise, ID starting at 9:05 pm. The RBK All-Star Game will be Wednesday night at 9:05 pm, and is available through the NHL Center Ice Package in the United States.

ALBC On The Road!

The Augusta Lynx Booster Club is heading to Gwinnett when the Lynx play the Gladiators on Sunday, February 11th. Trip cost is $50 per person, and includes transportation up and back, game ticket, and snacks. A stop for dinner will be made, time-permitting. Single seats may be purchased through the Lynx office at 551 Greene Street by calling (706) 724-4ICE or via all TicketMaster locations and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. Tickets are $18, $15, and $11, with discounts available for students, seniors, and military personnel. Fans may also still purchase full and partial season ticket plans by calling the office and speaking to a Lynx ticket representative.
