Bakersfield Condors News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors (3-5-1-0, 7pts) could not overcome a strong offensive effort from the Stockton Thunder (5-1-1-0, 11pts) and fell 6-1 on Friday night at Stockton Arena. D Olivier Dame-Malka scored the lone goal for Bakersfield.
F Justin Maylan scored on the first shot of the game for the Thunder at 1:13 of the first period after he intercepted a G Scott Greenham clearing attempt and beat the Condors netminder to give Stockton a 1-0 lead. The Condors pressured late, but C Levi Nelson was denied twice on an odd-man rush by Thunder G Cody Reichard. Stockton outshot Bakersfield, 16-6.

Despite the penalties, the Condors were able to cut into the lead when D Olivier Dame-Malka scored a five-on-three power play goal at 10:35 unassisted. However, the Thunder would regain their two-goal lead a 3-1 when F Philippe Cornet potted one from in tight at the 18:45 mark. Bakersfield outshot Stockton by a 9-3 margin.
Stockton scored three times in the third period to cap the final at 6-1. Things got physical near the end with three fights involving Condors D Tyson Gimblett, D Justin Pender, and F Zach Cohen.
