The Gladiators scored the first goal of the game off the stick of Casey Pierro-Zabotel 14:56 into the first. Evan Bloodoff passed the puck from the side of the net and found Pierro-Zabotel who beat Elmira goalie Maxime Clermont through the five-hole for the goal. The Ashcroft, BC native picked up his second point of the night and his fourth goal of the season. Rylan Galiardi also had an assist on the marker.

Tony Lucia found a loose puck in the slot and slipped it past Clermont at 16:04 of the second period to extend the Gwinnett lead to 3-0. Galiardi picked up his second assist of the night on the goal.

Jack Downing put Elmira on the board 13:02 into the third period and made the score 3-1 as he snapped Mike Lee's shut out bid for Gwinnett. Downing scored on his rebound as his first attempt went into Lee's pads.

Lee posted 18 saves for his fifth win of the season for Gwinnett. The Gladiators went 0-for-3 on the power play while they went a perfect 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.

The Gladiators return to action tomorrow night as they host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center at 4:05 p.m.
