
Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Ryan Craig to Springfield Falcons

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forwards Boone Jenner and Jeremy Morin off Injured Reserve and assigned forward Ryan Craig to the Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Jenner, 21, who has missed the last 40 games with a stress fracture in his back, has recorded six goals and six assists for 12 points and 10 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has registered 22-19-41 and 55 penalty minutes in 92 career NHL games, including 16-13-29 and 45 penalty minutes in 72 games as a rookie a year ago.
The Dorchester, Ontario native was the club's first pick, 37th overall, in the 2011 NHL Draft. He posted 111-135-246, 265 penalty minutes and was +22 plus/minus rating in 227 career games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League from 2009-13.
Morin, 23, who missed the last 25 games with an upper body injury, has recorded 1-2-3 with nine penalty minutes in 17 games with the Blue Jackets after being acquired by the club on December 14 from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for defenseman Tim Erixon. He has registered 9-10-19 with 65 penalty minutes and a +5 plus/minus rating in 71 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Blackhawks, including 15 penalty minutes in 15 games with Chicago this season.
The Auburn, New York native was Atlanta's third selection, 45th overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft. He has collected 81-77-158, 301 penalty minutes and a +21 plus/minus rating in 208 career AHL games with the Rockford IceHogs, including 1-0-1 and two penalty minutes in three outings in 2014-15.
Craig, 33, made his Blue Jackets season debut Wednesday at Edmonton and recorded two shots and an even plus/minus rating while averaging 7:16 of ice time in two games. He has tallied 12-16-28 with 54 penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 57 games with the Falcons this season. Craig leads the Falcons with six power play goals and is tied for third in goals and points. Tampa Bay's 10th pick, 255th overall, in the 2002 NHL Draft, Craig has collected 32-31-63 and 148 penalty minutes in 198 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins. The Falcons captain has registered 147-162-309 and 485 penalty minutes in 570 career AHL games.
Craig will be available when the Falcons host the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m.
