
Albany Devils Sign Max Novak to ATO

ALBANY, NY -- The Albany Devils today signed Max Novak to an amateur tryout agreement. The announcement was made by Albany Devils General Manager Chris Lamoriello.
Novak, 23, joins Albany after four years with Union College of ECAC Hockey. As a Dutchman, he registered 96 points, including 43 goals and 53 assists, in 141 contests. This past season, he registered 28 points with 10 goals and a career-high 18 helpers in 35 games.
As a junior, the Oak Ridge, NJ native was a member of the 2014 NCAA Championship team and scored the game-winning goal in the title game. That same season, he was named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team and was the Hockey Commissioners' Association (HCA) National Division I Co-Player of the Month for March-April.
The 6-0, 190 lb. forward played for the Jersey Hitmen of the Eastern Junior Hockey League in 2010-11. He finished fourth on the team with 61 points (25g-36a) in 43 games.
Novak was born on April 15, 1991.
