
Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Goaltender Oscar Dansk to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky off Injured Reserve and assigned goaltender Oscar Dansk to the Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Bobrovsky, 26, has missed the past 15 games, as well as the 2015 NHL All-Star Game, after suffering a groin injury at Winnipeg on January 21. He has posted a 16-15-2 record with a 2.85 goals-against average, .913 save percentage and one shutout in 33 games this season. The Novokuznetsk, Russia native has compiled a 69-46-13 record with a 2.39 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and 10 shutouts in 129 games with the Blue Jackets. In his NHL career, he is 111-69-23 with a 2.52 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and 10 shutouts in 212 games with Columbus and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Bobrovsky went 32-20-5 with a 2.38 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and five shutouts in 58 games last season, setting career highs in wins and shutouts and becoming the second goaltender in club history to post 30-plus wins in a season. In his first season as a Blue Jacket, he went 21-11-6 with a 2.00 goals-against average, .932 save percentage and four shutouts in 38 outings and won the 2013 Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top netminder in 2012-13.
Dansk, 20, has gone 7-5-5 with a 3.46 goals against average and .883 save percentage in 19 games with Springfield in his first professional campaign. The Stockholm, Sweden native spent the 2013-14 season with the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters, finishing fourth in the league in wins, first in goals against average and tied for first in shutouts with a 29-9-1 record, 2.39 goals against average, .909 save percentage and six shutouts. Columbus' second pick, 31st overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft, Dansk registered a 40-32-7 record with a 3.25 goals against average and .897 save percentage in 85 career OHL games.
