GLENDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have acquired defenseman Klas Dahlbeck and a first round draft choice in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for center Antoine Vermette.

"On behalf of the entire Coyotes organization I would like to thank Antoine for everything he did for our Club on and off the ice the past four seasons," Maloney said. "Antoine is the consummate professional and a class act and we wish him the best of luck in the future."

The 23-year-old Dahlbeck has recorded 1-0-1 and two penalty minutes (PIM) in four games with Chicago this season. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound native of Katrineholm, Sweden has also totaled 4-6-10 with 35 PIM in 49 games with Rockford (AHL). Dahlbeck was originally drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round (79th overall) in the 2011 Entry Draft.

"Klas Dahlback is a big, strong, two-way defenseman who skates well and competes hard," Maloney said. "We are excited to welcome him to our organization."

Vermette registered 13-22-35 in 63 games with the Coyotes this season.
