TACOMA, Wash. -- Chris Taylor homered and drove in four runs as the Tacoma Rainiers bested the Reno Aces 9-6 at Cheney Stadium on Sunday. The victory clinched a five-game series win over the Aces.

Tacoma trailed 6-4 before Taylor provided a go-ahead three-run blast with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning. The shortstop added an insurance run with a two-out RBI single in the sixth that plated Patrick Brady and upped the lead to 8-6. He ended the day 3-for-4, and in addition to his homer, recorded a double and scored two runs.

As a team, Tacoma tallied a total of 17 hits against the Aces. Jabari Blash and Leury Bonilla joined Taylor as Rainiers players who collected three hits after each went 3-for-5 with an RBI. Blash hit his tenth home run since the all-star break and 12th overall this season after taking a solo shot deep in the eighth.

Stefen Romero also hit a solo home run in the eighth inning - his 14th of the season. Catcher Steve Baron belted a two-run home run that gave the Rainiers a brief 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second.

Forrest Snow (8-8) collected his team-leading eighth win of the season after tossing a perfect inning of relief work in the fifth. Starter Chien-Ming Wang surrendered six runs on seven hits through 4.0 innings in his fifth turn in the Rainiers rotation this season.

The Rainiers (56-60) enjoy a scheduled league off day tomorrow before opening a four-game series with the Sacramento River Cats on Tuesday, August 11. Left-hander Edgar Olmos (1-1, 4.18) is slated to start for Tacoma. The River Cats have yet to name a starting pitcher. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
