Chiefs Receive Pair from Syracuse

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Johnstown Chiefs, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets, and the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters and Syracuse Crunch, announced today that center Ryan Garlock has been returned on loan to the team from Syracuse, and forward Blair Yaworski was loaned to the team by the Crunch.

In his second season with Johnstown, Garlock has 12 points (6G, 6A) in 10 games for the Chiefs. He has also spent eight games in the AHL with Syracuse where he has yet to register a point but has 11 penalty minutes. Garlock represented the Chiefs at the 2008 ECHL All-Star Game in Stockton, California and had one assist in the game. The former second round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2004, 45th overall, finished third on the Chiefs in scoring last year with 61 points (26G, 35A).

A rookie from Yale University, Yaworski has skated in 16 games with Syracuse this season, has a plus-2 rating, has picked up eight penalty minutes, but has not registered a point. The 6'2 forward from Calgary, Alberta made a big splash with the Bulldogs in his freshman season when he finished fourth on the team in scoring with five goals and 13 assists. For his career, Yaworski played in 113 games for Yale and amassed 14 goals along with 35 assists and 101 penalty minutes.

Mark your calendars! The Chiefs are back on home ice Wednesday, December 10 to take on the Elmira Jackals at 7:05 PM. The Chiefs will be hosting Ladies' Night with booths set up throughout the arena to cater to their female fans. Great seats are still available, but going fast.
