WHEELING, WV - A back-and-forth game ended with a Ryan Garlock goal giving the Johnstown Chiefs a 5-4 overtime win against the Wheeling Nailers Saturday night at WesBanco Arena. The Nailers tied the game three times (at two, three and four) but could never grab the lead.

It was an uphill battle after Johnstown's Michael Cohen scored his first goal of the game just 1:31 into the first. Jean Desrochers pass was tipped through the legs of Martin Houle on the first shot of the game.

The Chiefs added to their lead just 3:23 later when Alexandre Imbeault banged home a loose puck at the top of the crease on a shot taken by Andrew Martens. It was his fourth of the year.

Wheeling didn't waste time in responding. Adam Henrich picked up his first goal of the game. After Havern and Bissonnette each had chances to poke the puck through, Henrich finished the job.

Kyle Rank tied the game at 2-2 before the end of the first period. It came on the power play at 14:58. It took just seven seconds after a minor penalty to Mike Knight for Mark Letestu and David Laliberte to set up Rank for his third of the season.

The second period featured a repeat of the first. After Cohen notched his second of the game, Henrich followed with his. Henrich now has seven points in his first three games for the Nailers. This one was also a power-play goal making it four consecutive games that the Nailers registered multiple power-play goals.

Desrochers wristed one past Houle at 15:17 of the second to give Johnstown back the lead.

It would take 13:45 of the third period for the Nailers to put home the equalizer. Jason Tejchma picked up his first goal of the season from Laliberte and Lane Manson to force overtime.

Garlock put home scored on a blocked shot off the stick of Randy Rowe 2:24 into overtime for the win. It was the first overtime game of the season for the Nailers.

A season-high crowd of 3,445 showed up for day two of "Pink in the Rink" to help fight breast cancer. One dollar from every ticket sold on Friday and Saturday was donated to breast cancer awareness.

The Nailers return to the ice on Wednesday in Cincinnati to take on the Cyclones for the first time this season. They return home on Friday to battle the Reading Royals at 7:35 p.m. on Casino Night.
