
Wranglers downed by Grizzlies 8-5

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® were defeated by the Utah Grizzlies 8-5 on Friday night in front of 5,163 fans at the Orleans Arena. Grizzlies Ryan Kinasewich and Michael Haley each registered a hat trick as Utah scored the highest total of goals for an opposing team at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas history. Winger Bruce Mulherin scored a goal and added two assist in the defeat. Forward Adam Cracknell and defenseman Jason Jozsa each scored a goal and added an assist. The same two teams play again tomorrow night at the Orleans Arena at 7:05 pm.
After a scoreless first period, Utah tallied the first goal of the night as Scott Burt scored his fifth of the season just 34-seconds into the period. Las Vegas countered and tied the game just 22-seconds later as Adam Cracknell scored for the third straight game. Center Tyler Mosienko scored on a penalty shot 1:05 later, giving the Wranglers a 2-1 lead. Utah scored four more goals before the second period ended. Michael Haley scored twice, while Ryan Kinasewich and Keith Johnson also scored to push the Utah lead to 5-2. Wranglers Captain Peter Ferraro scored with 1:13 left in the period to trim the Grizzlies lead to 5-3.
Haley completed his hat trick just 3:14 into the third period, giving Utah a 6-3 lead. Defenseman Jason Jozsa pulled the Wranglers within a pair at 9:41 with his first goal of the season. Ryan Kinasewich scored two more goals to complete his hat trick and build the Utah lead to 8-4. Las Vegas winger Bruce Mulherin scored his fifth goal of the season with 1:50 remaining for the final score of 8-5.
The Wranglers host Utah again at the Orleans Arena at 7:05 pm on Saturday night. The Wranglers will then embark on a five game road trip before returning home to host the Phoenix RoadRunners on Tuesday, November 20th at 7:05 pm.

The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
