Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

ROUND ROCK, TX (August 11) - A rainy night in Texas ended in a suspended game in the top of the 5th inning, as the Storm Chasers and the Express were forced to conclude the evening in a 2-2 tie.

The game will resume tomorrow afternoon at 4:30; Omaha will have runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out.

After the conclusion of the suspended game, Sunday's regularly scheduled game (now scheduled for 7 innings) will be played.

After a rain delay pushed back the start of Saturday's game by over two hours, Omaha took the lead in the top of the 3rd, as Nicky Lopez walked, Paulo Orlando singled, Frank Schwindel reached on an error, and Cam Gallagher singled in Lopez and Orlando to make it 2-0 Chasers.

Round Rock tied it in the bottom of the 4th. Nick Torres singled, Christian Lopes doubled Torres home, and Nomar Mazara singled to plate Lopes. It was 2-2.

After the rain resumed, the game was placed in another rain delay with 1 out in the top of the 5th. After approximately 30 minutes, the game was officially suspended.
