LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, have announced they have raised over $3100 at the Charity Casino for the Long Beach Police Officers Association's Widow and Orphan Fund. The fund is currently assisting Officer Wade and Officer Yap and their families.

The Charity Casino was held on "Viva Las Vegas Night" before the Ice Dogs 2-1 overtime win vs. the Las Vegas Wranglers on January 7th at the Long Beach Arena. Ice Dog fans were given gaming chips, which were played on a variety of Las Vegas style games. Winning chips were then exchanged for raffle tickets during the evening, and various prizes were awarded. A charitable contribution for the Widows and Orphans Fund was requested for the playing chips.

The Ice Dogs play five games in six nights starting on Tuesday, January 23rd when they visit the Falcons at 7pm in Fresno. The Ice Dogs then return home and host Victoria on Wednesday night at 7pm, host Utah on Friday and Saturday nights, and host Victoria again on Sunday afternoon. AUDIO portion of all games will be available on www.icedogs.com by clicking on the TEAMLINE logo and VIDEO will be available at all home games for $6. Season tickets and group sales for the 2006-07 season are still on sale now. Call (562) ICE-DOGS or visit www.icedogs.com for more information.
