Augusta Lynx News Release
Week In Review
Friday, January 19
Augusta 4 @ Columbia 5 (SO)
Augusta led 2-1 on goals by Louis Goulet and Joe Pereira after 20 minutes, and extended the lead to 4-2 after 40 minutes on a Mike Erickson shorthanded marker and Nick Kuiper's point blast. But in the third, Columbia rallied to score twice and force a shootout, where they beat the Lynx 2-1 to take the two points and leave Augusta with just a single.
Lynx Radio Hour Tonight!
The Lynx Radio Hour returns tonight, broadcast live at Indigo Joe's, 3730 Wheeler Rd. in Augusta from 7-8 pm. Lynx head coach and director of hockey operations Bob Ferguson will be there along with various player guests all season long. Don't forget you receive a free non-alcoholic beverage with your Black and Blue Burger! Come bring the family out to Indigo Joe's.
Upcoming Promotions
When the Lynx return to home ice February 1, 2, and 3, they have a host of promotions lined up! Thursday, February 1 will see Florida in town on Augusta's Biggest Re-Gift Party Ever! You have that tacky gift, wacky appliance, or just plain hideous sweater still in your closet? Bring it to the game and trade it for another person's unwanted treasure, and everyone goes home happy. It's also Metro Spirit Thirsty Thursday night, so we make no claims on impaired re-gift judgement.
Friday Alaska comes to town to take on the Lynx on Smokey Bear Night, with the first 1,850 fans receiving a free souvenir puck! It's also faith and family night, so get your church group together for the evening and come join us! Finally, Saturday night sees Florida return on Doctors Hospital night as the Lynx welcome groups from CSRA large manufacturers! Get your tickets now as the Lynx heat up heading to the playoffs!
