Johnstown hosted the Wheeling Nailers on Monday afternoon, the first time in team history that the Chiefs have hosted a weekday matinee. Despite drawing the second-largest crowd of the season, the Chiefs fell to the Nailers by a score of 2-1.

The Chiefs hosted the Dayton Bombers on Friday evening, losing by a score of 6-3. Dmitri Tarabrin scored twice for Johnstown, and Stanislav Lascek had a goal and two assists in his first game with Johnstown since being reassigned from Springfield of the American Hockey League,

On Sunday, the Chiefs traveled to Toledo, where they were shut out by the Storm, losing 3-0 at the Toledo Sports Arena.

Great Performances:

Dmitri Tarabrin scored two goals, including one at the 35-second mark of the first period, and added an assist against Dayton.

Stanislav Lascek scored a goal and added two assists against Dayton on Friday night.

Maxime Boisclair, currently recalled to Springfield of the AHL, had two assists in the 2007 Rbk Hockey ECHL All-Star Game on Tuesday at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Jan. 15 vs. Wheeling (1-2 L)

Andrew Martens scored Johnstown's first power-play goal in four games, but the Chiefs needed more as Wheeling beat the Chiefs at home by a score of 2-1. Morgan Cey made 24 saves earning the loss.

Jan. 19 vs. Dayton (3-6 L)

Dmitri Tarabrin had his first two-goal game since returning to the Chiefs, and Stanislav Lascek added a goal, but Dayton scored five unanswered goals in the second and third period to secure the win. Morgan Cey made 32 saves on 38 shots, earning the loss.

Jan. 21 @ Toledo (0-3 L)

Jamie Tardif scored the game-winner for Toledo, as the Chiefs were unable to get on the board at the venerable Sports Arena. Morgan Cey made 15 saves on 17 shots before being replaced by newly-acquired Ryan Munce, who made 20 saves on 21 shots in his Chiefs debut.

Chiefs Notes: The Chiefs are 1-for-27 on the power play in 2007... Andrew Martens goal ended a 269:49 span where the Chiefs did not score on the man-advantage... Ryan Munce was traded from the Los Angeles Kings to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft... Munce made 20 saves on 21 shots in his Chiefs debut, which saw him play 26 minutes in Toledo on Sunday.
