'Caps, Captains Postponed

EASTLAKE, OH - Thursday's scheduled ballgame between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Lake County Captains at Classic Park has been postponed due to a steady rain throughout the day.
Thursday's game is tentatively scheduled to be made up as part of a Friday doubleheader beginning at 5:30 pm, where both games will last seven innings in duration, with a 30-minute break in-between contests. The rainout marks the seventh time this season that the Whitecaps have had a game postponed, as well as the fourth during the month of June.

The Whitecaps open the 2019 second half with a four-game series in Ohio against the Lake County Captains with a Friday doubleheader at 5:30 pm from Classic Park. Whitecaps pitchers Adam Wolf and Robbie Welhaf are scheduled to get the starts for West Michigan against Thomas Ponticelli and Alex Royalty. Broadcast coverage with Dan Hasty starts on the Whitecaps Baseball Network at 5:20 pm.
