DURHAM - Bulls second baseman Esteban Quiroz bashed a big two-run blast, while first baseman Dalton Kelly crushed a game-winning two-run home run in the ninth to give Durham a 4-2 walk-off victory over the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp on Saturday evening at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The win puts the Bulls one win away from clinching the Surf & Turf Series with Jacksonville this year. With seven matchups remaining, Durham owns an 18-11 advantage in the overall season series with the Jumbo Shrimp.

Entering the last of the seventh down 1-0, Quiroz smashed his two-run blast to center, pushing the Bulls ahead 2-1. The Jumbo Shrimp would even the contest with a single tally in the eighth to set the stage for the ninth-inning dramatics. RF Josh Lowe drew a lead-off walk to bring up Kelly, who lashed the 3-2 pitch over the left-center field wall to give Durham the victory.

The triumph was Durham's eighth game they have won this season in walk-off fashion, including three game-winning home runs. Lowe had previously launched each of the club's previous two walk-off home runs this year.

Bulls southpaw Ryan Sherriff (1.0 IP, BB, 2 K) earned the win and was one of four relievers that combined to allow just one hit over the final five frames, while Jumbo Shrimp reliever Tomy Eveld (0.2 IP, H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB) suffered the defeat. Durham starter Shane Baz yielded a lone earned run on three hits while fanning six over four innings pitched.

The two clubs are slated to complete their six-game set Sunday evening, with first pitch set for 5:05pm. Durham's starter has not yet been announced, while LHP Daniel Castano (2-2, 4.96) is anticipated to get the nod for Jacksonville. Tickets for that game, as well as all remaining Bulls home games are available and can be purchased at DurhamBulls.com.
