HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today that the defenceman Alex Henry will captain the club for the second straight season. Forwards David Desharnais and Ryan White will serve as his alternates for home games while defenceman Mathieu Carle and forward Ben Maxwell will serve as the alternates for road games. Hamilton will open its 15th American Hockey League Season tonight at 7:35 p.m. when the team travels to Rochester to battle the Americans. The Bulldogs will host their 2010-2011 home opener on Saturday, October 16th when they welcome the Toronto Marlies to Copps Coliseum.
In celebration of their 15th Anniversary Season, the 'Dogs will be honouring a number of memorable guests from their first 14 seasons with a special pre-game ceremony at tomorrow's home opener. Throughout the night there will be a number of different promotions as well as tributes to former players, coaches and teams. The first 5,000 fans through the door will get a commemorative Bulldogs 15th anniversary poster. Tickets are still available for tomorrow's game and can be purchased at the Copps Coliseum Box Office which will be open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. tomorrow.
All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. All pre-game shows during 'Dogs home games will be broadcast live from the main concourse at Copps Coliseum.
