OKLAHOMA CITY --- Casey Wellman scored with 17 seconds left in overtime to lift the Houston Aeros past the Oklahoma City Barons 2-1 at the Cox Convention Center Saturday night. The win was the second in a row for the Aeros, who begin the home portion of the schedule Saturday night at Toyota Center.

Wellman, who was assigned to the Aeros earlier this week from the NHL's Minnesota Wild, banged a rebound past Barons goalie Martin Gerber after Nate Prosser ripped a shot from the right point. Matt Hackett turned aside 32 shots over the final 40 minutes and earned his second pro win with 40 total stops.

Jean-Michel Daoust put the Aeros up 1-0 with his first goal of the season at 13:22 of the opening period. OKC's Colin McDonald knotted things up just 2:19 into the second.

The Aeros held the Barons scoreless on three power play chances; all three occurred after the midway-point of the game. Houston is 10-for-10 on the penalty kill in two games.

Daoust and Cody Almond, who assisted on Daoust's goal, now each have four points in two games.

The Aeros begin the home half of the schedule on Saturday, October 16, at 7:35 p.m. when they host the Peoria Rivermen at Toyota Center. On Sunday, the Aeros host to the Barons at 4:05 p.m.

The first 3000 fans on Saturday receive Aeros magnet schedules. On Sunday, the first 2000 fans get magnet schedules in addition to be able to take advantage of Family Four Packs. For just $67, get four tickets, parking, $20 in Toyota Center Bucks plus four Aeros hockey pucks.
