Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that country music star Rodney Atkins will perform in a post-game concert at the team's annual FM106/Miller Lite Country Music Night following the team's 7:00 pm game with the Peoria Rivermen on Friday, January 28th. The concert is free with a paid ticket to the game.

A born and raised Tennessean, Rodney Atkins made country music history when his 2006 album If You're Going Through Hell became the first album with four number one hits in four years. The lead track from the album entitled "If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)" was the first number one hit and it became the number one country song of the year in 2006, according to Billboard. The following year the follow-up song "Watching You" earned him a second consecutive number one hit as well as the number one country song for 2007.

Two more songs from that album, "These Are My People" and "Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy)" also reached number one status and the album went on to become certified as platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Because of the success of If You're Going Through Hell Atkins earned the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist award, plus five other ACM nominations and two Country Music Association nominations.

Then, in November, 2008 Atkins released his third album Its America, which rose all the way to number three on the US Country charts. The first single from that album "Its America" became his fifth number one when it topped the charts in May of 2009. The second single, "15 Minutes," was released to radio on May 26, 2009, where it debuted at #57 on the country charts and peaked at #20 in September 2009, marking his seventh Top 20 hit on the country chart.

His current album Cracker Barrel presents Rodney Atkins debuted at number 11 on the country charts and the first single from the album, "Farmer's Daughter" it currently sits at number eight on the country charts.

Atkins got his recording start when he was signed to Curb Records in 1997 and that year he charted for the first time with the single "In a Heartbeat," which peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. He entered the Top 10 for the first time in late 2003 when "Honesty (Write Me a List)" made it to number four on the charts.
