Boston Bruins recall Mike Brown

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, have announced goaltender Mike Brown has been recalled by the Boston Bruins.

In seven games for the Ice Dogs, Mike Brown went 1-4-2 with a 3.15 GAA and a .892 save percentage. The 21 year-old 5th round draft pick by the Boston Bruins in 2003 started the season with the Providence Bruins in the AHL and did not appear in any games.

In other transactions, goaltender Erik Hokom has been signed as an emergency goaltender, and former Stockton Thunder Cam Abbott has been signed for this afternoon's game vs. the Las Vegas Wranglers. Abbott played two games with the Thunder this season and recorded no points and four penalty minutes. The 5-11, 195 pound native of Sarnia, ONT played for Cornell University the last four seasons with his twin brother Chris.
