LAST WEEK: Fresno went 1-2-0 on its three-game road trip to Victoria. The Falcons are 7-3-0 overall this season for 14 points.

Thursday, November 9 @ Victoria Salmon Kings 6 FALCONS 3

Fresno opened its three-game road trip to Victoria with a 6-3 loss on Thursday. The Salmon Kings opened up a 5-0 lead through two periods, before the Falcons mounted a rally in the third period on a shorthanded goal from Tyler Kindle and a pair of power-play tallies from Cory Murphy, but it was not enough as Victoria held on for the win.

The Falcons opened up a 4-0 lead through two periods, scoring twice in each of the first two periods, including three power-play goals. Victoria pulled within two with a pair of power-play goals of its own midway through the third period, but Luke Curtin iced the game, scoring an empty-net goal with 23 seconds left to set the final.

Sunday, November 12 @ Victoria Salmon Kings 4 FALCONS 3

Fresno had a 2-1 lead through two periods, but Victoria pulled even with a shorthanded goal from Wes Goldie less than two minutes into the third. The Salmon Kings took their first lead of the day at 6:33. but the Falcons tied it at 11:38 on a Josh Prudden shorthanded goal. Goldie added his second of the game less than three minutes later, and the Salmon Kings held on for the 4-3 win.

THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Wednesday, November 15 vs. Utah 7:00 p.m.

The Falcons open a six-game home stand with the first of back-to-back games against the Grizzlies. Former Falcon player and head coach Greg Spenrath is in his first season as Utah's assistant coach.

PROMOTIONS: Ladies Night with the Falcons presented by KMPH Fox 26, Alice 96.7, and Gottschalk's. The first 750 ladies in attendance will receive free Falcons Boxer Shorts. Prizes will be given away throughout the night, including a Gottschalk's shopping spree, dinner with a Falcon player, the chance to win free lasik surgery from Eye Q Vision Center, a painting of Falcons' captain Matt O'Dette by Fresno artist Dora Mora of Art by Dora, and one lucky lady will win a chance to do the weather with Kopi on the Fox 26 Great Day Morning Show. Tickets start at $10 for ladies, and there are 2-for-1 coupons available at all area Gottschalk's.

Saturday, November 18 vs. Utah 7:30 p.m.

PROMOTIONS: Scout Night with the Falcons, with discounted tickets available for all area scouts, their families, and scout alumni. Tickets are just $11, and can be purchased at either the Fresno or Visalia Scout Service Centers. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a Falcons schedule cup courtesy of CBS 47 On Your Side and 93.7 KISS Country. It's also the 93.7 KISS Country 15th Birthday Celebration and Bob Silva Ford F-150 Face Off and Truck Giveaway. Go to www.ksks.com for more information on how you can win a Ford F-150 Truck. The Falcons are also asking fans to donate coats at this game to benefit the KISS Country Coats for Kids Campaign. Also, the Falcons welcome back the Hooters girls who will be in attendance on Saturday. It's also part of Clovis Days with the Falcons. Clovis residents who receive the Fresno Bee will be receiving a special ticket offer in their November 15 paper.

Sunday, November 19 vs. Idaho 5:00 p.m.

Fresno concludes its three-game week with the first match-up of the season against the Idaho Steelheads.

PROMOTIONS: Kids' Day with the Falcons. All kids 14 and younger can purchase tickets for half price, and the first 500 kids 14 and younger receive a free Falcons schedule folder courtesy of Soft Rock 98.9 and Comcast Cable. It's also the Central Valley Walk to D'Feet ALS Walkers Appreciation Night. Anyone who walked in the October 14 ALS Walk at Chukchansi Park can purchase Silver seats for just $7. It's also part of Clovis Days with the Falcons. Clovis residents who receive the Fresno Bee will be receiving a special ticket offer in their November 15 paper.

FALCONS NOTES

- Luke Curtin has at least one point in eight consecutive games, scoring four goals and adding 11 assists over that span. Curtin has a point in nine of the Falcons 10 games.

- Fresno had at least 40 shots on goal in each of the three games at Victoria.

- The Falcons scored three shorthanded goals in the three games last week, running their league-leading total to nine in just 10 games.

THE CHICKEN IS COMING!

The World Famous San Diego Chicken is returning to Fresno! The world's most famous mascot makes his Save Mart Center debut on Friday, November 24 when the Falcons host the Idaho Steelheads at 7:30 p.m. The Chicken's appearance is presented by Integrity Lending, KSEE 24, the Fresno Bee, and 95.7 The Fox.
