Dayton Bombers News Release

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam and Head Coach Bill McDonald announced today that defenseman Ryan Reid has been traded to the Phoenix Roadrunners in exchange for veteran forward Scott Kelman (pictured) and defenseman Corey LeClair.

Kelman, a first-round draft pick (#15 overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft of the Phoenix Coyotes, is in his sixth professional season. The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native has 25 points (7g,18a) this season with the Roadrunners and is fifth on the team in scoring.

"Scott has the reputation of always playing hard and his stats are a reflection of that work ethic," said MacAdam.

Kelman, 6'3", 215 pounds, also has 98 games in the American Hockey League under his belt, recording 13 goals and 23 assists between teams like San Antonio, Manitoba, Hershey, Lowell and Albany.

"It is nice to be adding a veteran to our team with so much experience in the American League," MacAdam said. "He should become an important offensive threat for us."

Defenseman Corey LeClair rejoins the Bombers after spending the 2006-07 season in a Dayton uniform. The 24-year-old Michigan native appeared in 67 regular season games picking up 5 goals and 15 assists for the Bombers. He also played in 12 post-season games and had one goal on the way to the Bombers' 2007 American Conference Championship.

"Corey was a very important part of our team last season," MacAdam said. "He has a tremendous skating ability and should be even more affective this season because of our style of play under (head coach) Bill [McDonald]."

This season with Phoenix LeClair has seen action in 43 games and has tallied 15 points off 2 goals and 13 assists. He has also been whistled for 14 PIM.
