Bakersfield Condors News Release

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors today announced that forward Alexandre Bolduc has been called up by the Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, and is expected to play this week in Winnipeg.

Bolduc, 20, has been one of the Condors' best young scorers this season, with eight goals and four assists in 19 games with a team- leading plus-minus rating of +5. The Montreal, Quebec, native currently ranks third among ECHL rookies with 82 shots and is tied for the rookie lead with three shorthanded points. Prior to joining the Condors, the 6-foot-2 forward spent four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Shawinigan Cataractes, making the playoffs during each of his seasons in the QMJHL. In 2003, Bolduc helped Team Canada win the gold medal at the IIHF U18 World Championships in Russia.

"We're very happy for Alex," said Head Coach Marty Raymond. "His stellar play and hard work paid off and now he gets a chance at the next level. It's good for our younger players because it shows that if you consistently perform here, you'll get noticed."

Bolduc is expected to rejoin the Condors in Phoenix on Sunday for the team's matchup with the Roadrunners.

On Monday, December 26th, the Condors return home to take on the Las Vegas Wranglers. All fans in attendance will receive free Condors holiday poster courtesy of UPN-45 and Rio Bravo Country Club. The team will also celebrate the Canadian tradition of Boxing Day, and fans are invited to box up their older gifts for donation to Goodwill Industries. The 26th also marks the second Condors Kids Club game of the season. Members of the Kids Club will receive free admission to the game when presenting their membership card to the box office the day of the game.
