STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder opened Stockton Arena with a sellout crowd of 10,117 on Saturday's 4-0 win over the Phoenix RoadRunners, and played in front of a crowd of 5,910 on Sunday's 4-3 loss to Phoenix to move atop the ECHL in average attendance with 8,013 fans per game.

The Thunder has also announced goaltender Jake Moreland finished runner-up for Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors, for Dec. 5-11.

Moreland, 26, finished the week with a 1-0-1 record, stopping 68 of 70 shots overall (.971 save percentage). The Thunder gained a point with last Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to Bakersfield, behind Moreland's 46-save performance. He then stopped all 22 shots faced in the Thunder's first shutout in team history a night later, in Stockton's 4-0 blanking of Phoenix during the Thunder's inaugural home opener at Stockton Arena.

Las Vegas Wranglers goaltender Marc Magliarditi took the league's top honors.

The Thunder returns to play on Friday, November 16 against Las Vegas with a 7:30 p.m. faceoff at Stockton Arena. The game can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and is available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" fare at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks.
