
Ice Pilots End Week With Win vs Charlotte

Ice Pilots win at home on Saturday night vs. Charlotte: The Ice Pilots won at home on Saturday night vs. Charlotte 4-3. Corey Neilson, Bryson Busniuk, Brendan Cook and Adam Courchaine scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Hugh Jessiman scored two goals for Charlotte and Ryan Fultz also scored for the Checkers. The Ice Pilots had 36 shots on goal, 8 penalty minutes and went 1-5 on the power play. Charlotte had 36 shots on goal, 16 penalty minutes and went 1-4 on the power play. Todd Ford was the winning goalie for the Ice Pilots and Al Montoya took the loss in goal for the Checkers.
The Ice Pilots also picked up a point on Wednesday night with a 5-4 overtime loss at Augusta. Adam Courchaine scored 2 goals in the game for the Ice Pilots. His second goal tied the game with 5! 1 seconds left in regulation. Bryson Busniuk and Dallas Steward also scored goals. Jomar Cruz picked up the overtime loss in goal for the Ice Pilots and Jason Wolfe was the winning goalie for the Lynx.
The Ice Pilots lost 7-4 to South Carolina on Tuesday night. David Turon, Mark Rooneem, Dallas Steward and Corey Neilson scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Jomar Cruz was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Maxime Daigneault picked up the win for the Stingrays.
The Ice Pilots lost at Florida on Friday night 4-2. Brian Collins and Chris St. Jacques scored goals for the Ice Pilots. It was Chris St. Jacques fourth shorthanded goal of the season which leads the league. Daniel Sisca scored two goals for the Everblades. Todd Ford was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Craig Kowalski was the winning goalie for the Everblades
Ice Pilots will play home this Wednesday night vs. Gwinnett at 7:05 p.m. It is the final home game before Christmas. The Ice Pilots will try to pu! t back to back wins together coming off the 4-3 win vs. Charlotte. San ta Claus will be at the game on Wednesday night and fans will receive candy canes after the game. The entire team will be signing autographs after the game on Wednesday.
The Ice Pilots will raise the Brabham Cup Championship banner on Friday, December 30 vs. Charlotte at 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive mini replica 2004-2005 Brabham Cup Championship banners.
Jr. Mascot Contest: The Ice Pilots are looking for a new mascot to go along with Iceman. The Ice Pilots are having a Jr. Mascot contest to select the new character and name. Fans are asked to draw a character of a mascot and give it a name. Ice Pilots in the Community this Week: The Ice Pilots will visit Gulf Coast Kids House Open House on Monday from 3 p.m.- 4 p.m. Brian Collins, Chris Heid, Shaun Landolt, Eric Braff, Corey Neilson, Chris St. Jacques, Steven La! ter, Todd Ford and Dallas Steward will be visiting Gulf Coast Kids House Open House.
The Ice Pilots will be helping out the Salvation Army Tuesday and Thursday as Christmas Bell Ringers. Players will be out ringing Salvation Army bells at Best Buy located next to Cordova Mall and at the Cordova Mall entrance on Tuesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. 6 p.m.
Tentative Practice Schedule this week: The Ice Pilots will practice Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Civic Center. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and play host to Gwinnett on Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will have off ice work outs on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday as their will be no ice at the Civic Center during those days.
Dodge Player of the Week: Defenseman Corey Neilson has been nominated for the ECHL Player of the Week. Neilson scored 2 goals, 4 assists for 6 points Todd Ford has been nominated for the ECHL Goalie of the Week. Ford posted a record of 1-1 with a 3! .50 goals against average. Corey Neilson has been named the Dodge Play er of the Week.

Team presented by the Pensacola News Journal will be announced on March 17 when the Ice Pilots play host to the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05 p.m.
