
'Blades juggle roster before road trip

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that forward Vince Bellissimo was assigned to the team by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League and that defenseman Ryan Brindley was placed on the injured reserve list. As per team policy the injury was not disclosed.
Bellissimo joins the Everblades after skating in 21 games with the Lock Monsters this year, notching four goals and collecting eight penalty minutes. The Toronto, Ontario native who turns 23 tomorrow, made his professional debut last year when he appeared in 12 games with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL, tallying six points (3g, 3a).
Prior to turning pro the former 5th round pick of the Florida Panthers in the 2002 NHL entry draft spent three seasons at the collegiate level with Western Michigan University. While with the Broncos, Bellissimo collected 113 points (49g, 64a) in 110 games.
In a separate move, the Everblades placed Brindley on the 7-day IR and moved defenseman Bryce Charpentier from the 7-day IR to the 30-day IR.
The Everblades return to action on Wednesday, December 14 when they take on the Augusta Lynx at 7:05 p.m. from the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center. Everblades 2005-06 group tickets and individual game tickets are on sale now!
