Blues Assign Ian Cole and Adam Cracknell to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned defenseman Ian Cole and forward Adam Crackell to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. In addition, the Blues have activated defenseman Barret Jackman from Injured Reserve.

Cracknell, 25, has played in 24 games for the Blues this season notching seven points including three goals and four assists. The 6'1, 216-pound forward has also made 55 appearances for the Rivermen amassing 21 points including six goals and 15 assists. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 23, 2009.

Cole, 22, has appeared in 26 games for the Blues this season recording four points including a goal and three assists. With Peoria, the 6'1, 221-pound defenseman has dressed in 40 games tallying 13 points including five goals and eight assists.

Jackman, 30, has missed the last ten games after suffering a broken right index finger in the Blues' 4-3 overtime victory over Columbus on March 9. The 6'0, 205-pound defenseman has dressed in 55 games this season tallying 13 assists.

The Rivermen open up a three-game road trip by taking on the San Antonio Rampage tonight at 7 p.m. The game can be heard locally on 96.5 ESPN Radio as well as online through www.rivermen.net.
