
Playoff Tickets on Sale Today; Dates Set for Games a & B

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins News Release
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that the team will open the 2011 East Division Semifinals on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Faceoff for both games is set for 7:05 pm.
The Penguins clinched their third East Division regular-season title with an overtime victory over the Hershey Bears on Sunday, guaranteeing that the Penguins will host postseason action for at least the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The Penguins' opening-round opponent will be determined at a later date.
The Penguins have also announced that individual tickets for the first two home playoff games will go on sale Friday, April 1 beginning at 10:00 am. Tickets may be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, through any TicketMaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
Ticket packages for the 2011 Calder Cup Playoffs are available now through the Penguins' ticket offices by calling (570) 208-PENS.

THIESSEN NAMED TO FIRST ALL-STAR TEAM
The American Hockey League announced today the 2010-11 AHL First and Second All-Star Teams, as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league's 30 member cities.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Brad Thiessen has been named to the AHL First All-Star Team.
