Indy Eleven News Release
(Indianapolis) - Indy Eleven midfielder Jack Blake made his first appearance of 2026 and scored a goal, but it wasn't enough as the Boys in Blue fell 2-1 to Union Omaha in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Second Round action at Carroll Stadium.
Blake entered in the 67th minute with his team playing down a man after goalkeeper Reice Charles-Cook was issued a red card in the 59th.
In the 93rd minute, Blake chipped a left-footed ball from outside the area to the corner of the six to Bruno Rendon, but his shot was stopped. Thirty seconds later, midfielder Josh O'Brien started the scoring sequence with a cross from the right side that was deflected into the edge of the area, where defender Logan Neidlinger volleyed it on goal. Union Omaha goalkeeper Cole Jensen made the save, but the rebound came out to Blake, who buried it with his left foot.
Indy Eleven resumes USL Championship play on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Carroll Stadium against the defending champion Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.
