January 11, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades are proud to announce that the team will welcome its 2-millionth fan next month! The Everblades, who began the 2006-07 season with over 1.8 million fans having visited Germain Arena in the team's eight previous seasons, are anticipating the milestone fan to cross through the door during the weekend series vs. Pensacola on February 9-10, or on the February 14 game vs. Gwinnett.
As the 2 millionth fan, the lucky winner will receive 10 tickets to a suite at the Florida Panthers game on February 22 at Bank Atlantic Center, when the Panthers take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins! The winner and nine of his/her friends will also get a ride to and from the game in a limousine, courtesy of Racing Limos!
Along with the tickets to the Panthers game, the 2-millionth fan will also receive a 2006-07 autographed team jersey, an Everblades jersey with their name on the back, a team autographed stick and their choice of either lunch with an Everblades player or a round of golf with an Everblades player.
"The fact that we are preparing to welcome our 2-millionth fan in just our ninth season in the ECHL is nothing short of remarkable." Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush said. "From our first day in Southwest Florida, our fans have been tremendous, adopting this team as their own, and consistently supporting this organization. It truly is a tribute to how dedicated our fans are and why they clearly are the best fans in the ECHL."
The Everblades have consistently been one of the league's best drawing clubs averaging over 6,200 fans each season and overall averaging over 6,500 fans in the 286 games played on home ice during the team's first eight seasons. The Everblades led the league in average attendance five straight seasons from 2000-01 to 2004-05.
The Florida Everblades, proud affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the Florida Panthers, return to the ice on Friday, January 12 when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. Florida Everblades individual & group tickets are now available! Reserve your seat for all the exciting action today by calling (239) 948-7825.
