Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Nick Harloff has been traded to the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL for defenseman Tyson Teplitsky.

Teplitsky joins the Everblades after picking up 28 points (6g, 20a) and 41 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Bombers. The 24-year-old rookie, who represented the Bombers in the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game, notched his first professional goal in just his third game on October 28 vs. Toledo, and put together his best points scoring stretch from January 27 - February 17 when he scored points in eight of ten games (2g, 8a).

Prior to joining the professional ranks the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native spent four years at the collegiate level with the University of New Hampshire. During his senior season at UNH Teplitsky was honored with the Rod Langway Award as the team's top defenseman after tallying 23 points (4g, 19a) in 41 games. Over his four-year career with Wildcats, Teplitsky collected 62 points (10g, 52a) in 151 games. Before the start of his collegiate career Teplitsky skated one season with Naniamo of the British Columbia Hockey League where he picked up 21 goals and 35 assists in 59 games.

Harloff heads to Dayton after playing in just three games with the Everblades. The 21-year-old tallied one assist in his three games. The Everblades acquired the Kitchener, Ontario native in a February 24 trade with the South Carolina Stingrays. Harloff picked up seven points (2g, 5a) in 26 games with the Stingrays after beginning the year with two assists in 19 games with Columbus of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

In a separate move, the Everblades completed their end of the trade that brought forward Kevin Bergin to the club from the Las Vegas Wranglers. In exchange for Bergin, the Wranglers have acquired the rights to defenseman Sean Curry. Curry is currently playing with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and has seven points (3g, 4a) in 58 games.

The Everblades return to action on Friday, March 17 when they travel to Augusta to take on the Lynx at 7:35 p.m. from the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center.
