FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno Falcons goaltender Brett Jaeger was named runner-up for the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week award today. Garnering the league's top goaltending honors for the week of March 6 - March 12 was the Johnstown Chiefs' Morgan Cey.
Fresno's All-Star netminder started three games for the team last week, going 2-0-1 with a 1.30 goals against average and .956 save percentage. Jaeger's performance lifted him to seventh in the ECHL with a goals against average of 2.58 for the season. His overall record is 19-6-8 with a save percentage of .916 in 34 appearances. Jaeger was previously named the league's Goaltender of the Week during the first week of November before earning runner-up accolades for November's Goaltender of the Month award.
Fellow Falcons netminder Jamie Holden was re-assigned to the club today from the American Hockey League's Cleveland Barons. Holden was between the pipes for the Barons this past Saturday in a 5-0 loss to the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. In three stints this season with Fresno's AHL affiliate, Holden is 5-7-0 with a 3.50 goals against average and .894 save percentage.
