The Saskatoon Blades look to close out January strong when the welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings to SaskTel Centre.
It's the beginning of four games in seven nights for the Blue and Gold, who battle the Pats in Regina on Wednesday.

Tonight
The Saskatoon Blades (21-14-1-1) hit the ice for a late matinee matchup against divisional opponent Brandon Wheat Kings (19-14-2-2).
Captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere and crew are clicking as of late, riding a four game win streak and a 4-1-0-0 record in the New Year. Over that stretch, the Blades have outscored their opponents 27-6, and have seen contributions all throughout the lineup.
It'll be the team's first taste of action in over a week, beating the top-seeded Winnipeg ICE 7-2 at home last Saturday. Alternate captain Kyle Crnkovic recorded four points in the decision, bumping him up to first place in the league for points with 57.
The Blades hold a two-point lead in the standings over the Wheat Kings, as the battle for second place in the East Division kicks into full gear. Saskatoon (44 points) trails the Moose Jaw Warriors (50 points) for second place, but have six games in-hand.
Who To Watch
Chestermere, AB product Kyle Crnkovic sits second in WHL scoring with 57 points in 37 games. The 5-foot-7 winger is firing on all cylinders, recording 21 points over the course of his last eight games. His previous career-high in goals was 21, already surpassing that number with a team-leading 23 tucks this campaign.
Fellow alternate captain Tristen Robins heads into the contest as the reigning WHL Player of the Week. The San Jose Sharks prospect has racked up 18 points in his last six games. The Clear Lake, MB native notched four assists in the win against Winnipeg last Saturday, placing him second in team scoring with 52 points in 35 games.
Forward Brandon Lisowsky continues to find the back of the net in his sophomore season. The 2022 NHL draft eligible winger sniped two goals against the ICE last time out, including the game winner. The skilled power forward from Port Coquitlam, BC is second on the club in goals with 21, and was recently ranked 87th on the NHL Central Scouting midterm rankings.
Carrot River, SK's own Jayden Wiens has five points in his two games since returning from suspension. The 18-year-old forward is providing an impressive season, with 24 points in only 33 games.

Saves for Hunger
This season, The Saskatoon Blades have partnered with Nutrien to launch the "Saves for Hunger" Campaign. For every save a Blades netminder makes this season, Nutrien is donating $5 to a local organization. Blades goaltenders have made 1033 saves so far, running the tally up to $5165 raised as the team welcomes Brandon.
