NEWS & NOTES:

On the Road Again: Due to Manitoba Government capacity limits, the Wheat Kings have not played a home game since December 30th vs Edmonton. By the time the Wheat Kings return to Westoba Place, 36 days will have passed. Tonight is the sixth straight road game for Brandon, who has a record of 3-1-1-0 in that span.

First Timer: 16-year-old rookie forward Trae Johnson finally got the gorilla off his back with his first career WHL goal last night. The Martensville, SK native hadn't scored March 10th, 2020 in a playoff game vs the Saskatoon Stallions in the Sask U15 AA league.

Career Night for Vinny: Vincent Iorio scored twice on Friday night, the first two-goal game of his WHL career. The Washington Capitals prospect has scored in back-to-back games and has now surpassed his previous career-high in goals with 6.

Fill The Net: It may seem obvious, but the more goals the Wheat Kings score, the more success they have. The Wheat Kings are a perfect 17-0-0-0 when scoring 4 or more goals this season. On the other side of that coin, Brandon is 3-13-2-2 when scoring 3 or less.
