General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have recalled forward Shawn Thornton from the Norfolk Admirals in the American Hockey League.
Thornton has appeared in 14 games for the Admirals scoring 2 goals while adding 5 assists for 7 points with 43 penalty minutes. Thornton had appeared in five pre-season games for the Blackhawks and did not score while amassing 26 penalty minutes.
Thornton has appeared in 21 career NHL games, all with the Blackhawks, and has scored 2 goals and 3 points while picking up 54 penalty minutes.
