
Stars announce TV broadcasts

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit announced today that the Iowa Stars have partnered with Mediacom to televise 10 of the remaining 32 Iowa Stars regular season home games.
"The Iowa Stars are excited to have the opportunity to reach so many households in Iowa through Mediacom's statewide network," commented Iowa Stars President John Pettit. "This will now allow us the opportunity to expose so many more people to Iowa Stars hockey and to truly make them feel like this is Iowa's team."
Stars radio broadcaster Jason Shaver will provide the play-by-play. Shaver will be joined in the booth by former Stanley Cup Champion and 11-year NHL veteran, Tom Chorske. Chorske will provide insight and analysis for the telecast.
"We're thrilled to use Mediacom's statewide fiber network to provide Iowans with live broadcasts of Iowa Stars Hockey. In more than 300 communities, residents can go the Connections Channel to enjoy fact-paced action and enjoy the excitement that is Iowa Stars hockey," said Mediacom Senior Vice President Charlie King.
"The Connections Channel was developed because our company supports community and Iowa-specific initiatives, and we want to ensure that access is not limited to larger cities." The Connections Channel is Mediacom's statewide network that provides Iowans with coverage of state and local sports and community events. It is located at channel 22 for most areas of the state. Check local listing for your community's Mediacom Connections Channel (Ch. 74 in Iowa City; Ch. 18 in Northwest Iowa).

NEXT HOME GAME: The Iowa Stars host the San Antonio Rampage on Friday, November 18th at 7:05 PM. Friday is Diaper Drive where Any fan that brings a new, packaged set of diapers will receive a coupon for $5 off a $21 priced ticket to that night's game. All diapers will be donated to various shelters throughout the area. Doors open for all games, one-hour before face-off.
